on Tuesday 9th March at 1.00pm GMT at http://www.totp.beeb.com
First there was Duran Duran, then there was Howard Jones, and now - in
continuation of our pop Gods of the 80's theme - the TOTP website is proud
to present Nik Kershaw in a live webchat!
Nik Kershaw is on the verge of releasing his first album of new material for
ten years. He first appeared on the scene in 1983 with his debut single, I
Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. Following his first single, Nik had a
string of hits, including Wouldn't It Be Good, Human Racing, The Riddle, and
Wide Boy. He also achieved platinum status with his albums Human Racing and
The Riddle, and appeared on Live Aid in 1985. More recently, Nik has been
involved in writing songs for and working with other people, including
Chesney Hawkes, Let Loose, Boyzone and Elton John. Nik released a new
single, Somebody Loves You last month, and his new album, 15 Minutes, was
released on 1st March.
Nik will be chatting live on Tuesday, 9th March on the Top of the Pops
website, http://www.totp.beeb.com at 1.00pm. Following the chat at 2.00pm we
will then open up an hour long event chat room for a free-for-all 80's pop
chat!
